Hyperpro steering damper mounting kits are required to mount a the steering damper to the bike. In 98% of the applications it is possible to mount the kit without drilling or cutting in the motorcycle.
The preferred design for a mounting kit is in the top-tank position, so it is possible to see the steering damper and makes it more easy to adjust. Mount kits are available in anodised black or gold.
A steering damper, or steering stabilizer is a damping device designed to inhibit an undesirable, uncontrolled movement or oscillation of a vehicle steering mechanism, a phenomenon known in motorcycling as wobble.
Motorcycles with a short wheelbase and an aggressive steering geometry provides the ability to make very quick changes in direction. As a side-effect it the bike is less stable, gives less feedback from uneven road surfaces, and is more difficult to control.
